How to Clean Bathroom Tiles

Cleaning your bathroom is one of those necessary evils – nobody wants to scrub the toilet or grimy shower walls, but you have to! So, let’s make it simple and take a look at how to get your bathroom tiles looking sparkly and fresh.

Step 1 – Time to dig out those trusty marigolds

You’re gonna need them! Make sure to throw those windows open as well so you’ve got plenty of ventilation.

A positive attitude won’t hurt either!

Step 2 – Pick your poison!

You can opt for a simple bathroom cleaner from the supermarket or whip up your own cleaner using baking soda, liquid soap, water and vinegar. Now, give your tiles a good spritzing.

Step 3 – Get that shower running

You’re going to want to crank up the heat to open up the pores in your ceramic tiles. Let the steam rise for about 5 minutes, then turn the shower off and leave the bathroom, shutting the door behind you. This will help to lift some of the really stubborn grime for you.

Step 4 – Wipe that grime away!

For most of your bathroom, you’ll just need a clean cloth or sponge to wipe your tiles down.

Step 5 – Got grout problems?

No problem, grab an old toothbrush or grout brush and dip it in bleach or a homemade paste using one part water, two parts baking soda before giving the grout a really good scrubbing!

Step 6 – Sit back and relax!

Now your bathroom is freshly cleaned, why not take a well-deserved soak in the bath?
