Project: Preston North End Football Club

Project: Preston North End Football Club

Preston North End Football Club, more commonly known as PNE, was founded in 1880 and is located in the Deepdale area of Preston, Lancashire. Deepdale has been their venue for football for over 135 years and has been graced by football legends such as Sir Tom Finney, David Beckham, and David Moyes.

Now the new football season is well underway, with Preston playing in the Championship, the second tier of the English football league system, sharing our work at Deepdale Stadium seems apt.

The Deepdale Project

The Preston North End project was a perfect opportunity for us to feel involved within the community in which we are located and to aid the well-loved football team into enhancing their grounds and stadium. Whether you’re a North End supporter or not, the home ground is known for its historic story, and is the oldest professional footballing site in the world in continuous use. The stadium’s capacity currently stands at 23, 404.

Our Tiles

The part we proudly played in the Deepdale project was providing the tiles to recreate the famous blue and white theme of The Lilywhites throughout their changing room.

The tiles provide a hygienic and clean place for the footballers to relax and rejuvenate before and in between games, reinforcing the world-class professional atmosphere for the players.

With our tiles, we also created the detailed PNE F.C. logo which now has pride of place in the changing room, further celebrating the PNE theme and character.

As well as enjoying being a part of Preston’s football club and their design, everyone involved in the project enjoyed an exclusive chance to see behind the scenes. Although, it is safe to say scouring tiles rather than scoring goals is more suited to our working habits.

“Getting the atmosphere right in the changing rooms is so vital for putting the team in the best spirits before a game! I’m particularly pleased with how the tiled logo has been used to tie the space together”

Simon Grayson (Manager)

Our mosaic tiles enhanced the appearance of the Deepdale stadium reception area with a detailed and creative design of Sir Tom Finney in action.

The mosaic black and white tiles improve the overall look of the lobby without being too overruling, while further commemorating one of PNE’s greatest players.

The mosaic display can also be seen in our showroom, we would love for you to come and have a look, browse our range of magnificent tiles, and have a chat with one of our workers who will be more than happy to answer any of your tile related questions.
